Today was my filipino midterms. I started panicking when i realized it would be 60 questions, 50 minutes and 21 poems. It was bad enough it takes me more than one minute to read the question, another minute to understand the question and probably another minute to debate on the correct answer. This means it would have probably taken me 300 minutes to answer that test kind of well.Give me only 1/6th of that time, and you will be leaving me with no choice but to guess, and pray really really hard. Guessing usually equals academic disasters hehehe:)).

Anyway, I felt illiterate after that test. I was extremely thankful it weren't in essay form, but still. I felt illiterate. Illiterate and stupid. Filipino has always been my kryptonite/achiles heel/ weakness. It just sucks :))

Two things though cheered me up today XD!

If you must know, My birthday is on December 5. That is practically three months away. So why am i mentioning this?

WELL. My birthday may be three months away from now, but i have decided on a birthday gift a couple of weeks ago XD. i couldnt help but ask for it already since I've been itching for them. I googled them, I compared designs, and I made sure it had my size! heehee

So what did i ask for?

CONVERSE PRODUCT RED SHOES. aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!

I havent felt this excited about a material thing since my V for vendetta mask (which is by the way proudly displayed on my bookshelf XD)!

My mom called me around 3 pm when I was playing cards with my blockmates and asked for my shoe size. I cant believe i have my shoes XD! YAY!

I HAVE DECIDED! I will not wear them until my birthday! it would REALLY REALLY SUCK if they got soaked and drenched in the mucky icky puddles of Ateneo. Its white! and pretty! and covered with people joining hands!

hehehe. They shall stay in their box for now.

OOoOo The other thing that cheered me up today.

I watched one of my old movies. Since Hello Dolly was somewhat featured in Wall-E, I decided to watch that! and i made bea watch with me too. I was starstruck when i saw louis armstrong sing with barbara streisand XD. its a wonderful world guy! that was cool! hehehe. There were some surprising moments in it too. It was nice. It was so weird when out of nowhere the screen blackens and out pops "INTERMISSION" i actually went to the bathroom then. When i got back, the movie started again. that was good timing XD. the last movie i saw with intermission was gone with the wind so it was unexpected. Hehehe.

Anyway, No more midterms/final projects yadayada! woohoo! Now i can do anything XD.

Well. I was disappointed with my draft score in english. :(. and my performance in the math long test :(. but im teaching myself to not think about it :)). pretty much a waste of time to think about it.

anyway. Oh the AJSS despedida was fun! I think i had my share of crying done already. All was still good :). Though i missed the after party FUN, we had car confessions =)). and i had up to date news when i got home since John was online and he was narrating to me everything that was happening while it was going on. it was so funny. :)).

Oh John left this week! it was so depressing! i have no more botany seatmate. and there are no more block scandal shots. He and Ian started a lot of gossip too. Gah im really gonna miss him. So depressing. The diasphora is starting.

oh yeah! our block got in sagala ng mga sikat! yay! august 2. full day of classes, sagala 1-5 pm and then math midterms 6-8pm. thats hell day at its finest. but we got in sagala! hooray!

fencing jackets are hot and masks stink like hell. but we get to stab people with swords and its not murder. its a sport! so its not so bad.

anyway.i need to fix my priorities. honestly. hehehehe.

I jsut realized that college is hell week ever week. I was wondering today how im gonna balance a math LT with a 20 minute script and a payatas visit with two long gimmiks this weekend. Im even starting to realize that friends are becoming an increasing priority because so many are about to leave :(. I feel so depressed about that. Bau is leaving. Hansky is leaving. Tanya is leaving. Evan is leaving. Even John is leaving :(. It was bad enough sarah left. what more now that a lot are leaving simultaneously. I bet I'll cry every time one of those people get on a plane. It's just sad because they were some of my closest friends. wala lang. I shall be happy today because it is our despedida for the AJ people. I'm really gonna miss them. Plus. I really dont want them to change. its inevitable but i hope they dont become crazy :)).

Botany has been making me feel bad all week :)). This week i've honestly abstained from the internet, meeting up with people. During my free time i honestly tried super hard to study. GAH.

30 POINT ESSAY in botany. explain evolution, state proof and support your stand. detail how prokaryotes became eukaryotes and how the 5 kingdoms came to be. focus on their common characteristics, support your theories with facts/evidence.

my essay reached the next page. but just barely. John's essay covered 2 entire pages. that makes me nervous :)).

anyway. Lab exam was equally depressing. Its still so weird its called a practical exam when were not allowed to touch the microscope.

anyway. I need to do better. thats just my whole point. my second exam is in exactly a month so time to redeem myself :)).

Today i watched guys and dolls, and cabaret.

guys and dolls. oooo dear God. close your eyes when Frank Sinatra sings and you could sleep. He was my favorite person in that movie:)). Marlon Brando looked so different compared to his alter ego Godfather part. He's actually hot here :))! hahahaha and as for the movie, you could tell it was old because 1) everything was a set. 2) One shot, one angle. 3) Prolonged dancing parts :)). 4) 2 hours. but i still liked it. though MARLON BRANDO CANNOT SING.

also, i was kinda awestruck because it was the first time i saw frank sinatra in a movie and it was also the first time i saw marlon brando and jean simmons young :)). cool. theyre all kinda dead now though. whatapity.

CABARET O-o. okay that movie was just weird.

today in Lit, my friend got an F in homework because her notebook was an inch too small.

some of my classmates also got an F in homework because they didn't bring 200 pesos today.

O_O It's apparently to train us to take homework seriously.

its just weeeirddd. and WRONG.

anyway yesterday Hans and I actually went to the art gallery. We observed EVERY piece of artmwork in the gallery. the collection donated by Zobel was cool. we actually commented on every painting :)) "Oh look at the texture! Look! he used scotch tape! i see a bird! and waves! it looks different from this angle! coool" We were appreciating art =)). it was kinda cool. and i DID appreciate the art in THAT room.

the other room was a different story.

I'm sorry but when i saw the monoblock stuffed inside the trashcan and encircled by a garden hose, I did not consider it art. It just looked like someone hated the monoblock. maybe thats the art part. its an everyday life thing. NAAAAH. oh well. maybe i'm not that big an art lover.

College has been fun :). The best part so far is seeing friends and bonding during breaks :). And oh my god. I was in AWE at my math teacher :)) Doc Queena O_o. hehe thats it. i'll try to not get kicked out just so i can stay in her class :))!

first car accident

today we were in a car accident :)).

Today we were hit by a car.

Today...the car has a scratch and were alive :)).

Hansky was our designated driver going to eastwood, while i was meant to drive home.

Hanksy called his dad to ask if he could drive someone elses car and his dad agreed.

less than five minutes later, still inside our village, we got hit.

We were going super slow on the uphill turn when this car decided to overtake. there was a bar dividing the roads so there was very little space to overtake.

He went fast, thinking we were super slow, then suddenly, since the car came from nowhere. (probably due to the blind spot) He snagged our left front fender with his car door.

Hansky and I went outside (bea stayed inside) to check the damage. Hansky talked to the other driver while i climbed into the drivers seat and moved the car more forward, since due to the bar and our blocked car, there were some cars behind us slightly stuck.

So after moving the car, and hansky, out of trauma, paid off the driver instead of use his debate skills (it was the other drivers fault), started moving again.

damage done? slight transfer of paint on both cars.

first car accident for hansky and us? YES. panicked? kinda. didnt know what to do? hell ya.

TRAUMATIZED? hansky was.

The conversation with the other diver lasted a few seconds only since i think he knew it was his fault and we were just kids who technically were all licensed drivers :)).

Dude bought our tickets, we picked up abi, and we were able to watch KUNG FU PANDA =)).

That was SUPER SUPER FUNNY. i loved it. never a dull moment.

anyway. back to the car accident, in eastwood, hansky called his dad who congratulated him for being alive, and he called our mom, who didnt care about the car and asked if we were okay.

IMAGINE, 2 HOURS LATER, GETTING A CALL from the friend of your kids who drove them around, apologizing for a car accident? that was funny after.

When we got home.....

*our dad enters the front door*
*Hasky goes towards door to meet him*

our mom screams "BINANGGA NIYA KOTSE MO! :))"

*Hansky immediately turns aboutface with this facial expression "O_O".*

that was in a way funny. we didnt die, we didnt have any dents, the accident happened in the village, and we got to watch the movie pa rin :)) it was funny. miggy soriano stopped his car and said HANSKY incredulously then drove off :)). anyway that was funny. we all wore seatbelts after, i was a bit scared to drive home but i di it anyway and eastwood parking has too many curves:)).

HAHAHAHAHAHHHA!

Ever since registration, i have had broken sleep. I've been waking up early (before 6 sometimes) even if I felt like I didn't get the rest i deserved. Believe it or not, it actually took a bit more effort to be perky :)).

Anyway... I actually really like my block :D. I don't know them that well yet but it has been really fun! Just like what humphrey bogart said in casablanca.... "This is the beginning of a BEAUTIFUL friendship".

Also, It was extremely fun spending time with AJSS. Gah i've missed everyone. Yesterday honestly felt like the first AJnight because majority were there and we were so SABAW. I posted pictures in multiply. Candid shots for the win :))! I love you people!

On my way home! gaah i miss sila ELla na :).

ALso... rundown of events:

Rugby: Very cool game. I watched team B play before the real game of Team A so i got the game then. It's interesting! more than expected.

The only time i got extremely excited was towards the end because we saw russel crowe :)). I got so hyped up i started cheering for his team. hahahaha! go rabbitohs! woohoooooO!

Nice stadium too! really cool.

Also. we sat in our cousins classes today! year 11=first year college for us. so we sat in advance math (calculus), design and technology (parang t.h.e. in miriam), english (othello) and stuff. it was interesting. we also watched a baby tv thingy for their P.E. class and it was very BOLD. it was weird but interesting.

We arrived at the airport 2 hours earlier. flight=9:55. we got there 5:55! my god! our mom made a mistake kasi eh. hehehehe. ah well. still okay.

I love steak in the outback restaurant here. its sooooo MMMMM.

aLSO, I Love the observatory! GAAH! IT WAS SO COOL! WE SAW sirius the star and the sun upclose. solar flares and all. their giant telescope was cool. operated by a computer which had a star map programmed into it. the roof/dome moved around and opened up to whatever direction the star were viewing is. so COOL.

We also got a telescope! a REAL CELESTRON telescope. electronic so you just program the coordinates and BOOM we can see the rings of saturn, the galazies and nebulas without the hassle of manual searching. XD. yes very cool. Our dads 50th bday gift to himself which we can use XD.

IRONMAN is cool. very witty funny superhero as compared to the others. WE STAYED FOR THE CREDITS! woohooo! yay i knew it. iwas so afrtaid i would be wrong.

We watched on the biggest IMAX movie screen ever. 8 stories high and i felt sorry for the whales and dolphins. but it was a nice experience.

WE DIDNT TASTE VEGGIEMITE. that was sad. but ah well. Smelled really funny. it was YEAST EXTRACT afterall.

We also have new old movies! woohoo! i have a lot of old movie musicals now. From fred astaire to barbara streisand. yay i cant wait! We also have all the pride and prejudice movies (colin firth!), emma, mansfield park and stuff :)). yay!

ANyway im gonna go off now. bye bye.

3 mroe days until we leave :(. its depressing. :(

but OoOo. Im watching an NRL rugby game later at the olympic park! :))! Now i must look up rules so i know whats gonna happen :)).

Yesterday we biked around olympic park for an hour and walked for an extra hour. In our biking escapade i knew we got lost because instead of driving through mangroves and reaching a shipwreck point we ended up in a subdivision. that is kinda not a mangrove. oh well. yesterday was fun.

AND OH YEAH.

RIGHT in masswe have projectors to show the song lyrics? and sometimes we just use a wall? or none at all?

WELL THE CHURCH HERE HAD 4 PLASMA TVS to show the lyrics. so much for church for the poor! :)). or maybe poor people here have plasmas. who knows. but church here was extremely modern in design and for the mass, somewhere in the homily, a couple renewed their 50 year old vows :)). it was cute XD.

Anyway gotta go :D. Im hungry.
